California WaterFix

The California WaterFix (formerly a component of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan - BDCP) is a part of California’s overall water management portfolio.  The California WaterFix would secure California’s water supply by building new water delivery infrastructure and operating the system to improve the ecological health of the Delta.

In May 2019, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) announced that it will pursue a new environmental review and planning process for modernized water conveyance in the Delta.  This is consistent with Governor Newsom's directive to downsize the California WaterFix to a single-tunnel project.
