DEFINITIONS:

Tier 1 Supply Rate (Metropolitan) - recovers the of cost of maintaining a reliable amount of supply.

Tier 2 Supply Rate (Metropolitan) - set at Metropolitan's cost of developing additional supply to encourage efficient use of local resources.
System Access Rate (Metropolitan) – recovers a portion of the costs associated with the delivery of supplies.
System Power Rate (Metropolitan) – recovers power costs for pumping supplies to Southern California.
Water Stewardship Rate (Metropolitan) – recovers the cost of Metropolitan’s financial commitment to conservation, water recycling, groundwater clean-up and other local resource management programs.
Treatment Surcharge (Metropolitan) – recovers the costs of treating imported water.
Replenishment Water Rate (Metropolitan) - applies to purchases by Member Agencies in accordance with Section 4514 of the Metropolitan Administrative Code.
Readiness-to-Serve Charge (Metropolitan) - a fixed charge that recovers the cost of the portion of system capacity that is on standby to provide emergency service and operational flexibility. Based upon a calendar ten year rolling average.
Capacity Charge (Metropolitan) - the capacity charge recovers the cost of providing peak capacity within the distribution system.
Operations and Maintenance Surcharge (Calleguas) - recovers the cost of operating and maintaining system facilities and District administrative functions.
Capital Construction Surcharge (Calleguas) - recovers a portion of the cost of infrastructure expansion to accommodate new demand and increase system reliability.
Capacity Reservation Charge – the capacity charge is levied on the peak week demand on the system between May 1 and September 30, for the prior calendar-year and GSP Water is excluded from peak week calculations.
Readiness to Serve Charge (Calleguas) - a direct pass-through of Metropolitan Readiness to Serve Charge.
